Over the last several decades, the Finger Lakes region has quietly become New York's most prestigious wine area. It also contributes overwhelmingly to the state’s wine production output. New York ranks third in U.S. wine production, following California and Washington.
Lying south of Lake Ontario and Rochester, New York, these dents were carved out of the geology by receding glaciers, producing the lush, lake-filled landscape we have today.
Will King, Historian and Director of the Greyton H. Taylor Wine Museum, will lead us through the rich history of winemaking in the Finger Lakes region.
