The label for our Chardonnay Riesling blend was created from a much larger piece Walter painted of the Abbey of St. Peter, Hautvillers. One would have to guess that maybe the reason Walter painted this scene was because of a famous monk who lived at this monastery, Dom Perignon. During a trip through France in 1982 Walter painted many scenes of the French country using pastels on canvas. The artwork for this label is currently on display in our restaurant at the winery.Wine Profile
